Extremely interesting relationship.

We know from the 8K that MARA has licensed certain patents to RPX. We know that RPX is a defensive patent aggregator who will not be developing and products or administering any services that specifically intersect these patents.

Without additional information, one might make an educated guess that this license contains certain provisions where MARA has granted RPX the right to sub-license and/or pass through certain intellectual property rights to some of its customers. If this is true, it seems logical that those companies who are already litigation targets of MARA would not be allowed any indemnification through this RPX license.

Like all patent licenses, the provisions relating to indemnity issues can be quite complex. So even if the above speculation turns out to be true, there is no way to know that particulars of the agreement without MARA disclosing them.

Like those who have posted already, I am confident the RPX agreements are beneficial to the company and will be royalty bearing.
