Anybody have any insight into the future of this technology in regards to mobile payment processing? It's my understanding that Google has been betting on NFC (near field communication tech), while Apple dismisses it and is pursuing bio identification and qr and barcode scanning as future. What startled me about NFC is the chips in cards that when thieves get into proximity to you with generally obtainable equip, they can jack all your payment data.
