Spoke with RP briefly today. Asked him about the chances of Dataplay's tech rising from the ashes and he wasn't too positive (saying correctly so as most would agree I think that essentially they are a day late and a dollar short). They have been in contact with the new owner DPHI acquisitions and they stand ready to assist them should they demonstrate an ability to pay. They are bent on developing several applications for the tech including the acquisition of content.

As far as the 1.8" HDD drives, Toshiba has been shopping around their drive to many player manufacturers and the exclusive expires in June for Apple. Hitachi's 1.8'' is also being shopped around but basically the feeling is that the Toshiba drive is cheaper and has already been "battle-tested".
