IMCI Makes New Hire with Growing Importance of Cybersecurity in Mind
Today, Infinite Group, a premier information technology and support supplier, announced the appointment of Mr. Frank McIntire, a cybersecurity expert, as the company’s vice president of sales. The company has brought on Mr. McIntire to expand its client base for its cybersecurity offerings.
Infinite Group has appointed Mr. McIntire to this role with full awareness of the growing importance of cybersecurity for American businesses. The premier newspaper USA Today reported last week: “The threat from hackers for hire, state-sponsored cyber intrusions and organized cyber syndicates is so dire that Director of National Intelligence James Clapper lists cybersecurity as the greatest global threat, edging out terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.”
For the past three years, Infinite Group has offered a range of advanced security solutions to government and commercial clientele. These solutions include: vulnerability assessment, risk prioritization, risk remediation, phased implementation, education, and training services. Mr. Jim Villa, Infinite Group’s President and CEO, says that Mr. McIntire’s appointment will be crucial in enhancing Infinite Group’s cybersecurity client base in the federal government, state and local governments, commercial accounts, and small-sized and medium-sized businesses. Mr. McIntire will also work on cultivating stronger business relationships with the company’s current cybersecurity clientele and will bring the latest best practices in cybersecurity to this clientele.

In his previous capacities, Mr. McIntire has served in lead roles in U.S. and global operations for Air Force and Pentagon programs and support roles for Air University, Air Force Space Command, and the Air Force Academy. On the IT side, he served in a director role for KPMG Consulting and Oracle Corp., supporting U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. intelligence community, and commercial clients. He also led engineering upgrades and changes for some of the largest Alaskan Native Corporations, high-profile Department of Defense and intelligence field clientele, and small and medium enterprises.
Mr. McIntire graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in social studies. He also holds a Master of Science degree in human development counseling from Vanderbilt University.
As Gartner reports: “The amount of data required for information security to effectively detect advanced attacks and, at the same time, support new business initiatives, will grow rapidly over the next five years.” With the appointment of Mr. McIntire as Vice President of Sales, Infinite Group says it is well-positioned to take advantage of that upcoming growth trend.
