US judge denies Rambus evidence inclusion request
While Micron sues Rambus in Italy

Rambus has failed to persuade a US District Court judge to make public documents it believes provide evidence that a number of memory makers conspired against it. Separately, a new front was opened in the company's war with Micron, with a lawsuit being filed in the Italian court.

In the San Francisco District Court, Judge Richard Kramer ruled that the documents Rambus wanted to introduce into the trial was not "valuable to the case". Rambus maintains that Micron, Hynix and Samsung conspired to fix RDRAM prices in violation of US antitrust law. Rambus' opponents claim the documentation in question is confidential.

Rambus did not say how it will proceed with the case, which has been progressing since May 2004 and originally named former Siemens subsidiary Infineon until Rambus reached an out-of-court settlement with the German company in March 2005.
