A reverse split is the exact opposite of a forward split. Shares are divided instead of multiplied. In 2005 HPNN did a reverse split of 2000-1. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/hop-oncom-inc-completes-name-change--reverse-split-and-offers-warrants-to-shareholders-54435477.html
simple math shows that if someone spends $1,000 at .001, they will have 1 million shares. After a 2,000-1 reverse split, they will be left with 500 shares. When the price returns to .0001 as it did, that 500 shares will be worth 5 cents. A $1,000 play turns into 5 cents. That is one way money disappears in pinky world
Invstopedia definition of Reverse Split. Fully understand this as RS happens all the time in Pink world and has occurred with HPNN
