Review of what the completed Army/SBIR Phase 2 project was that the Army has stated was selected and in now under contract negotiations.

The last of 4 SBIR awards totaling over 1.3 million in R & D Grants to AFTC.

Additionally, there are no other R & D awards or solicitations out there for this work, currently, that i can find.

My assumption is that the SBIR DME spray charecteristics SBIR Phase 1 that should be awarded to "someone" this month pretty much allows us to conclude that they have the pump..need to tweek the engine.

Sounds expensive.

...we hope...

I feel the Army conntract will be confirmation of the commercial readiness of the AFT equipment. It should be a seminal event that brings AFT to front and center for "the use of DME" going forward.

That, and hopefully the new beginnings that might come with a Phase 1 award for a few more years of R & D during common rail commercialization...well.. seems very possible.

Should the Army contract not be recognized publicly with a statemant or PR by AFTC, I think we will have reason to ask why.

But I feel at that point they will have the news and the discretianary financial wherewithall to pay the 30k for proper PR representation and publicity.

IMHO!~

GLTA!

My contacts at SBIR have not responded to a follow-up question about the status of the Army negotiations...I think perhaps they wish they had not responded the first time... soon..tick...soon...tock...
