Yes, but for a company like CALICO that's been working confidentially since Sept 2013 with zero news about their pipeline an outside hire suggests that the master planning and secrecy are about to end. To keep a project of that magnitude under wraps for so long you'd need to hire an experienced admin you already trusted. The fact that they're going outside tells me at least that the work load is expanding to a point where they are willing to be less secretive IMO.

Again, just fun speculation but the thing about fun speculation is that once in awhile you may actually be onto something. And with PPHM, another typically secretive company, deciding to have their coming out party next week the timing of the whole this is just rather peculiar.
