As we all know JBI, the company, wanted to defend the case but had to agree to a settlement because the investors demanded a quick resolution as a condition of financing. John stepped up to the plate and took the hit for the team - extremely admirable in my books. Most investors come down seeing John as a hero.
I expect John had only the best interest in mind when settling. If this was some of scam he would never have done that. I also believe the SEC representative wished she hadn't allowed herself to be convinced by certain people that an accounted was something more than that. Where is she now anyways - she get a promotion for the stellar work she did on this case?
