If this was the expected "dip" we performed very well IMO. The indecisive trading might have been caused by the expectation most had about a big correction coming. Relative fear looming due to the massive fluctuation last May at this level. If I was a betting man I would wager we stabilize, like you said. Then investors/traders will feel differently and we move up from here.
Completely different landscape surrounding FNMA but scars do take time to heal.
