Yep .. you can still use MD because that's just an educational degree ... like a J.D. ... the important thing is you can't practise medicine without a state license even though you may have an MD ... i guess it's the same for lawyers who need to take the bar in order to practise .... also if you lose your license for unethical/questionable practices you face a variety of professional sanctions including losing your license which is for particularly egregious offenses ... doctors in general like other professions are very reluctant to penalize one of their own (the whole circle-the-wagons mentality) so you really have to go off the rails to get such a reprimand
