You keep asking that so I guess you want an answer... the answer would be simple. They dig out the channel and they dont find gold. It is as simple as that.

Now seeing that gold is just about everywhere on earth in some amount you question holds no value. Your question is not complete.

Maybe someone could explain how there won't be ten's of thousands of ounces of gold left in the black channel?

Well the channel is already dug so there is nothing in it but air. The dirt that it leads to might have tens of thousands of ounces but then of course the end of the channel would go where ever they aim it.

So the answer you are looking for is that the way they dont find any gold when they extend the channel would be because they missed the spot with the gold in it.
It happens all the time...

This guy only missed it by a couple of feet but he did not come out with any gold.

So the question is since you say it is a certainty all I can say is you cant know that. They could dig for years and miss every single nugget because they just missed it.

Gold is where you find it. NOT where you think it is and not where it was already found.
Just by definition a piece of found gold is not where you found it any more.
You may have a better chance of finding gold where it has been found before but it is FAR from certain or the entire sierra range would be dug flat by now because the whole thing has had gold found in it.

Something else to consider. Ocean water has more gold in it than most gold mines. So why isnt NBRI mining ocean water? It is simple... just because you can find gold doesnt mean you can find enough to pay for finding it. THAT is an absolute uncertainty here and anywhere else.

Feasible gold is not everywhere. It runs out at some point and you dont know when it runs out till you stop finding it like NBRI has in the white channel.
