You are dead wrong. It can play Netflix, but it can not stream 4K. It streams HD. That is all.
The following says it can support up to 4k Playback! Not streaming. It says you can watch movies and shows on Netflix (but that is in HD, like any other media box). Note the difference.

The company further says, "ASUS Chromebox supports up to 4K UHD playback, letting you enjoy the best quality content from the web1. Kick back and relax as you browse the web, watch movies and shows on Netflix, or view photos from your SD card. And with a wide assortment of offline apps, ASUS Chromebox lets you edit documents, play games and use other popular apps without an internet connection".

An excerpt from the direct ASUS website on the Chromebox:
In addition, ASUS Chromebox features HDMI and DisplayPort outputs for dual monitor capability and support for next-generation 4K Ultra High Definition (4K/UHD) displays*.
Notice, ASUS will not say the Chromebox streams 4k, because it only supports playback of 4k, and streaming HD as in the above DD.
I have seen a single website from a single misinformed individual stating that Netflix could stream 4k on the Chromebox. He is wrong. The DD from ASUS directly contradicts him.
