Almost my entire microcap portfolio is in an IRA. I use Etrade. it took a little while to transfer, but since I'm hoping for the largest gains of my investments, I decided to use the IRA to grow tax free. No margin obviously. Same trading as my regular account. When I log in it shows me a regular stock account, IRA account and, a small Roth IRA I have from years ago. Etrade was fairly helpful in the transfer, but it requires babysitting by you on both ends as the rules and process seem different for different institutions and probably are different from when I did it. I do remember that there was a length of time delay from delivery of funds to when I could start trading. It was at least a couple weeks... may have been a month.
