I included a segment of an article on this subject and I've also included the link to the website I found this on. I feel it's important that people get the accurate information on CBD as it is a derivative of HEMP. Here it is...

"The 2014 Los Angeles High Times Medical Cannabis Cup was the fourth award competition that PhytoSPHERE and CannaVest won for producing the highest concentration of CBD from hemp. CBD Simple(TM) also won the 2013 High Times Cannabis Cup competition in Amsterdam, the 2013 Seattle High Times Cannabis Cup, and the 2013 Michigan Medical Marijuana Conference "Green Cup" contest--all for Highest CBD Concentrate. The thing is CBD is processed by a low THC plant which is also known as HEMP... I think people are getting confused when they are being told that high CBD comes from high THC Cannabis when it comes from low THC HEMP. The link I included should help clear this up. Also, if you google "is CBD from hemp used in medicine" this gives many links on the subject as well.
