I think chevron is a good bet. Some Chinese investors are thinking about investing in a petrochemical plant(opl 229) so Sinopec may have access to a gas plant. But Chevron is building a lng plant in Olokola by 2009-2015. Why it matters is because though gas may not bring as much dough as chevron if there is commercial gas you may need a gas producer in Nigeria who has gas processing facilities and to monetize the gas resources.
