Dr. Ioannis Karamitsos, John, PhD serves as Vice-president of Research and Development at iTokk, Inc.

Dr. Karamitsos is responsible for research and development, engineering, the design and the implementation of iTokk, Inc., Global VoIP network. Dr. Karamitsos launched his career at Intracom in 1994, holding senior positions inresearch and development. He worked on a variety of telecom systems covering most technical and business aspects of exploration and production. Later, he moved to Huawei Technologies where he worked in Business Development as Executive Director. He worked for three years in developing and implementing Huawei's research and development strategy for broadband and wireless product lines in the Greek and Balkan area. In 2007, he acted as the Deputy Chief Technology Officer for ON Telecoms, a Greek ISP start-up that provides triple playservices (Internet, Voice, IPTV) based on broadband technologies. He serves as a Director of iTokk, Inc. Dr. Karamitsos received an a ward from Huawei as "2005 Best Employee in Europe". He holds a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering from the University of Rome "La Sapienza",Italy, a Master of Science degree in Telematics Management from the Donau-KremsUniversity, Krems, Austria and a Ph.D. in Optical Networks from the University of the Aegean in Greece.
