Let me try… (there are two points here)

if you check the Lakeshore Zoning map you will see that this property is zoned A Agricultural. The map is hard to follow but the property is way to the left. All you care about is the color of the map though.

http://www.lakeshore.ca/media/files/Zoning%20Bylaw%20Nov%206%202013.pdf

If you check the zoning by-laws, page 95 - 97 you will see that a property zoned "A" can have a single detached dwelling (check), can be used for agriculture (good), a kennel (nifty), a mushroom farm (future product expansion?), yadda, yadda, but unfortunately (check the chart) a property zoned "A" can NOT be used for agricultural processing. (But, in case you care it could be the world's happiest bed and breakfast.)

Anyways, agricultural processing requires an HE or CR zoned property. For reference (for those following along) HE is Hamlet Employment and CR Rural Commercial/Employment.

So it appears, that FITX can in fact grow marijuana (or mushrooms) but they have to move it somewhere else before the can process it. Because, they can't employee laborers at that location. At least that is what I am reading… maybe I am wrong. The document is written in English though so most likely anyone on this board can read it. And, honestly I have no construction experience in zoning being a statistician so I may be completely wrong.

Now on to the permits, besides the pole barn and fence permit (which is set to expire soon), there are spill way, septic, letter of architect and engineer commitment that all probably have to be filed. Who knows… maybe they have been filed. I might have missed a PR.

BTW, newmedman is probably someone you should just listen to and not argue with.

Second point, Hemp is grown like corn in tight rows. Marijuana needs about 6 feet between each plant. But, don't take my word for it...

so it is Hemp. Also, walking through a field on marijuana in a short leave shirt might not be comfortable...
