First off I'd like I apologize for my ignorance as I am still somewhat new to trading and evaluating companies and stocks. I may be completely incorrect regarding my suspicions but I figured I'd ask.

From trying to understand the Balance, Income and Cash flow sheets it looks as if the company currently holds more assets than liabilities. However, it also looks as if Plug Power, Inc. is losing money quarter after quarter. Is this correct?

I would think a company like this is strong and poised to grow because of it's existing contracts with a few big name clients and a market with little competition but then my inexperienced self takes a look at the financials. A deal with Walmart sounds possibly profitable but I must ask is this this is currently a speculative, growth or value stock? To the uneducated it would look like a speculative stock but of course I'm still learning and could very well be 100% incorrect.

What would motivate me to purchase this stock?
