Yes, the way they are doing it will work by having a trading symbol change w/ name change first and R/S later on. The reason being - you don't need a R/S in order to have a ticker change...it's just that some companies do it all at once, like VAPE did. But, the importance here is a R/S is added work - more filings and shares have to be converted... This adds more time to the process. Vapor Group is instead putting the R/S out of the equation until the name change/ticker change happens to speed up the process. The R/S added onto a name change/ticker change would create more work and more delays with the SEC. VAPE ended up doing two PRs concerning the R/S due to SEC delays. Also, if you do a R/S a D is attached to the end of the ticker. VAPE was formally PLPE and turned into PLPED... if Vapor Group were to change their name and symbol first, then the symbol and name would be more attractive than keeping the SPLI symbol during the reverse split transition. All IMO of course. We'll have to see how this one plays out.
