A quick Google search for M&A Biotech timeline yielded a couple good things to read. Not that they apply specifically to this situation, but if you're going to play in the biotech world these are things good to know:

My favorite:

- great/new/relevant article based on statistics regarding acquisitions. As mentioned in the article, orphan drug companies are more likely to be acquired at a later stage. Guess where CHTP is? I just wish I had a better understanding of how long between approval and acquisition (which is what I am searching for statistics on).

Skip to slide 20:

- just good to know information regarding the process of M&A

Wall Street focused article from Jan 2014:
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-01-10/m-a-boom-seen-in-2014-as-drug-hunt-spurs-biotech-deals.html
- just more good to know information regarding the mindset of pharmaceutical companies and what is believed to be the focus in 2014.

More Wall Street focused, but if you like Adam F:

- my take away is that the value of biotech acquisitions is going up. Could that mean the valuation of CHTP is greater than we're expecting? Analyst estimates tend to be a joke in biotech from my experience. $12 to me seems low, but I have no evidence to back that up.
