Louis, my PB adapter sparked and fizzed out where the cord enters the block, after 2-1/2 years of medium use. I replaced it with the Macally adapter, usually $40, on sale this month at MC for $32. We've sold hundreds of them, and no one has come back complaining. They have a thicker cord and a regular plug.
