EXACTLY. HOW THE HELL IS THIS STOCK AT $450??!! If I had any money in this whatsoever I would SELL EVERYTHING IMMEDIATELY. The price/earnings ratio is sickening. The only way this stock could have gotten to where it is now is because of degenerates with absolutely no investing experience think to themselves: "Hmmm. Me like netflix. Me like money. People I know always talk about netflix, and everyone watches it. (lightbulb!) Me should buy stock! Me make more money. Me have more time to watch netflix!"
Guess what?! If everyones already talking about it/using it, it is most likely no longer a great investment opportunity! If anything, this company has reached its max potential. Also, people act like it has no competitors (even if it didn't, it will have more in the future)
In all seriousness though, this stock is EXACTLY like Twitter. "Twitter is public now? I want to own it, I don't care if its EPS is -1.92 (makes negative money) and it has very few opportunities to generate serious money in the future too.
If you still own netflix at this price, you're a bonified idiot. A moron. There is no other way to put it. This stock is worth half it's price, possibly less.
Netflix is not growing. The only way it could grow to equal the price it is at now is if the number of subscribers multiplied x 3. If that were the case, over 1 in every 4 people in the country would have a netflix subscription. Guess what? Of all those people, no one from age 1-12 is going to have their own account, and also factor how no senior citizen who can hardly see is either. Did I mention how one netflix account can conveniently function for up to 7 different people at a time. (my family loves netflix, and so do I, and trust me, I will never have to pay for my own subscription).
In conclusion, this stock is so overpriced it is actually funny. No, I literally don't know whether to chuckle or feel sick to my stomach whenever I see someone talking about it. If you own any shares, please sell before this is corrected in a huge manner.
I do not even own netflix, I am big into Biotech at the moment (in case anyone cares), and actually just went out of my way to comment on this board.
