The EU Energy Group

The EU Energy Group is formed under the holding company EU Energy plc.

EU Energy plc is a Milton Keynes, UK based alternative energy group, and provides innovative and technologically superior solutions to the renewables arena.

Subsidiaries

EU Energy Wind Limited
Wind power is the largest and fastest growing sector of the alternative energy options. Many billions of Euros is projected to be spent on new wind farms in Europe. The company will be concentrating initially on bringing an innovative composite windtower system to market.

EU Energy Inc.
A wholly owned subsidiary of the plc governing all US and Canadian operations and concentrating on the sale and manufacture of the new DeWind D8.2 wind energy conevertor, featuring the Voith WinDrive.

EU Energy Wind Turbines GmbH
-Design and Engineering services for the renewable Industry.
EU Energy Service and Maintenance GmbH
-Providing service and maintenance for all brands of wind turbines

EU Energy Cable Limited
-The solution for outdated and overloaded grids. A new series of Aluminium Composite Core Cable (ACCC) electrical conductors significantly improves the safety and reliability of transmission grids, whilst doubling their capacity.
-Using proprietary, cost-effective advanced composite technology that was initially developed for aerospace applications

DeWind Holdings Ltd
-Holding company for DeWind GmbH and wind farm acquisitions.
EU Energy WingPower Limited
-Commercial and domestic size wind turbines
-Established to commercialise the family of Zero Carbon technology wind energy devices patented by Dr Derek Taylor that utilise one or more specially designed aerofoils, or wing-like Aeolian Planar Concentrators™ to accelerate the wind flow through a wind turbine
-The first in this product family is the consumer-based Aeolian Roof™ system.

EU Energy Renewables Limited
-Other renewable energy technologies are being researched. Where commercially viable they will develop as bolt-on business units to expand the EU Energy Group into one focussed on "best of breed" renewable energy initiatives.
-The company will aquire rights to innovative renewable technologies through licences or joint ventures. It will then use the EU Energy Group skills to further these technologies for the benefit of the Group.
-Appropriate integration of different renewable technologies will also be explored. Examples could include offshore wave or tidal platforms, on top of which are wind turbines and solar energy cells. The power generated from these sources are passed through to the grid using ACCC cable.

Focus

EU Energy's focus is on commercialising technology for alternative energy. It will use exising and aquire further intellectual property rights to bring these to market economically and at the earliest opportunity.

Strategic partnerships (particularly within the alternative energy sector) are key to the future success of EU Energy and the company is constantly searching for "win-win" opportunities.

Market

The alternative energy sector is one that is about to experience explosive growth, with the requirements of the Kyoto agreement to reduce carbon emmissions (amongst others) being a major driver.

The European Union has obligated its members to "set and meet on a yearly basis national targets for domestic future consumption of RES-E (Renewable Energy Sources) .... for the next 10 years". Overall EU15 targets are that 12% of all energy will be provided by renewables by 2010.

Investment values in the period 2001 to 2010 for the EU15 alone is estimated to be €49 billion..
