My understanding of the main patent that has been quoted on this board and elsewhere relates to development of pain / inflammation medicine that is designed to replicate the effects on marijuana but with the intent of eliminating the "high" that comes with typical marijuana usage and isolate just the therapeutic properties of the THC.

Quote from publication:

"73. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 72, wherein the cannabinoid is one or more of the cannabinoids selected from the group consisting of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a THC derivative, levonantradol, marinol, nabilone, rimonabant and savitex."

As mentioned above - it appears based on the publication that one of the cannobinoids that they can utilize within the formulas they have developed is THC. IE, they appear to have patented the use of THC within the framework of Synthetic peptide amides. These synthetic peptide amides from what I understand are designed to provide the anti-inflammatory and also anti-pain effects without the high associated with smoking weed.
