First tape-out with TSMC’s 16nm FinFET and ARM’s 64-bit big.LITTLE Processors


Seems like a test chip, not a production product. One milestone to look for is when they can demonstrate working prototypes on 16nm. Otherwise, a first tape in is just a blind leap of faith that product will actually yield testable parts at the end of it.
