In my opinion dividends will not be restored before FnF leaves conservatorship. Once FnF leaves conservatorship I don't think dividends will be restored before FnF are again fully capitalized and have excess capital to distribute to preferred shareholders as dividends. I wrote this last fall and I think everyone that owns preferreds should take these thoughts into consideration and position themselves accordingly as if they are again going to pay dividends at some point. The risk/reward ratio on some of these preferreds are getting pretty tight taking into consideration the yield the preferreds may offer when restored.
