As a long time share holder and board reader, (much shorter time as a poster), I agree that Ed has made a mistake.

He has communicated too openly about potential opportunities to people who either did not have a clue how to process that information or who had other agendas.

IMHO, he has tried to share with us all how he was adjusting to changing events and circumstances. How he was trying to move the company forward in spite of many disappointments and challenges.

I do not know the man but I am guessing he is a strong optimist.

Communicating exciting developments prematurely can be the trait of an optimist. BUT optimism is another of those essential traits of a successful entrepreneurial leader. As long as it is not blind.

BTW cheerleading is not optimism. Going at it day after day, year after year knowing that results are possible with enough hard work and some luck, that's an optimist.

The cards on the table are these. He could have orchestrated one last pump and dump and walked away comfortable for life, leaving nearly every single common share holder in the lurch.

The IHUB boards are full of those stories. So far MZEI is not one of them.
