CEOs are paid to get stockholders, so they will say ANYTHING to get you to buy. Even if its something like "we havent diluted any shares" or "big news coming this week" they can say that all they want. Its not official until its on marketwire. Until then, the CEO is basically a liar, like any other pink sheet CEO.

Also think for a moment, a CEO could get in trouble by the SEC(fined jail) by announcing there will be news before a formal PR. Its inside trade information. So you will have to do better than "trust us, hang in there, just shaking the tree" to convince me.
