Depends. Once set up, if your account balance is 2k or more and you do a quick transfer into your ET account the funds are immediately available for investing. Kind of slick if you want to buy something right away. If the balance is below 2k, then a quick transfer will have your funds available for investment on the 3rd day. If you want to withdraw money, you can do a quick transfer from ET to your personal account which takes 3 days or you can call them and pay $20.00 and they will do a wire transfer and your $ will be in your personal account within minutes.

That's once it is set up. Not sure on the initial opening of an account.
