I think NNVC has potentially good science, at least interesting science, but that it is unlikely to amount to anything long term except a nice fortune for the Diwan and Seymour families (and hopefully at least one trader). While mgmt. fiddles, others that are hungrier are moving fast to fill the needs that NNVC could theoretically address.

Before anyone complains, this is just how I see it. I KNOW you don't agree and I don't care. I have been in NNVC since 2007, and the situation has not fundamentally changed. TOX studies were just around the corner then. Clinical trials were going to start soon, in Vietnam I think. They had a cure for rabies, among other things. Then we had a functional cure for HIV and decided not to pursue the commercial development of that. HUH? Then we moved to Denguecide for a while and had the whole big deal in Puerto Rico with the CDC...a meeting I described as the most important ever for NNVC...POOF!...nothing now on dengue except occasional boilerplate verbage. Now Flucide for the past few years, and the promise of TOX real soon, followed by clinical trials in Australia. It's a merry-go-round. Please excuse me if I've gotten some of these promises out of order.

Most recently, we have waiting for the pilot plant to produce enough flucide for tox...that wait now is close to a year. In fact, it could be more than a year. Must be a very small pilot plant! Yesterday we get news that the pilot plant can't make enough and now we will wait for the new facility. So the most recent "big promise" of tox by June, 2013 plus or minus 3 months looks more like it will be a year late...and something else will come up, I'm sure. Or maybe they will finally do tox and everybody will celebrate, but whoops, the FDA wants some more of this, or we wait for that. Trials could still be years away. Will they start while there's a patent?

I was going to play the bounce here but after writing this out I think I'm just going to say screw it and put my money in companies that are serious about getting through trials.

Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin, more even than death. Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habits.(Russell)
