That is wrong the number of shorts are 18 million at end of Jan 31 2014!!
The days to cover means 1.96 That means it would take EVERY SHARE TRADED IN 2 DAYS TO BE BOUGHT BY THE SHORTS TO COVER THEIR POSITION!!

If anyone else would buy any shares then the shorts have not covered!!

All sells would be bought by the shorters!!

So you can see the MM's COULD NOT BUY EVERY SHARE SOLD IN 2 DAYS that would mean if I wanted to buy the PPS WOULD SKY rocket!!

That is what a short squeeze is!! Other people would buy as well and when word got out among other MM's that one MM was buying HUGE blocks The PPS would go up!!

Also MM's get to see on level 3 who is buying and who is selling!!

We the retail would not know!! The only way would be that the PPS would rise significantly each day!!
