Thanks! I have been wondering if you have discovered any new TA techniques that work well or if you are still using 8/21 ema (which seems to work very well).

I have been using the 8 and 21 ema since you told me about it year ago. I also use the 50 and 200 sma with the others.

I have also been using the 8/21 avg on the P&F charts which seems to help find stocks that have bottomed (or topped) and are turning (however, P&F charts take time out of the equation so you have to take that into consideration as well). But take ASTC for instance... you can see it in action.

here is the one box reversals (with 8/21 ema)
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SharpChartv05.ServletDriver?chart=astc,petddanrbo[pb8!b21!a][d][f1!1!!!4!20]&pnf=y

here is the two box reversals (with 8/21 ema)
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SharpChartv05.ServletDriver?chart=astc,petddanrbo[pb8!b21!a][d][f1!2!!!4!20]&pnf=y

here is the three box reversals (with 8/21 ema)

One last thing, I am finding Ichimoku Cloud charts to be predictive of the future, depending on how well one interprets them of course. But using all of Ichimoku's functions, it seems like he understood what was important in TA in terms of supports and resistance points for future references.
