PESHAWAR: Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) Chief Executive Prof Dr Inayat Shah Roghani inaugurated a state-of-the-art ERBA XL Chemistry Auto Analyser machine installed in the Pathology Department of the hospital.



A press release said the machine, made of a German company, cost Rs2 million. All chemistry routine work investigations like glucose/sugar, cholesterol, creatinin, uric acid, SGPT and others would be carried out by the machine.



A total of 200 investigations are carried out per hour by this machine. At present, the KTH diagnostic laboratory carries out approximately 3,000 investigations per 24 hours. By the installation of this machine, the hospital would be able to overcome the burden on the KTH laboratory.
