BREAKING: Huge toxic coal ash spill in NC and VA river

A nightmare scenario is unfolding in Eden, NC.

Sometime on Sunday some 82,000 tons of toxic coal ash drained from the Duke Energy Dan River coal ash pond through a broken 48-inch pipe.

The entire river for two miles has turned to a gray sludge of arsenic, mercury, lead, and dozens more toxic heavy metals, including radioactive uranium.

The national news media is ignoring this. The EPA and other Federal and State agencies have set up a command center at the spill site in Eden, NC.
