NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 2006--

(Investrend Research Syndicate) The Homeland Security Index, provided by the International Securities Exchange (www.iseoptions.com) under the auspices of Cronus Capital Markets, has been rated "Buy/4," with an expected 18% over 12- to 18-months by Investrend Research analyst Gary Vassalotti in a Q4 Homeland Security Sector Update.

Companies such as Bulldog Technologies (OTCBB: BLLD), Cyber Defense Systems (OTCBB: CYDF) and Viscount Systems (OTCBB: VSYS), included in Spotlight Analytics reports incorporated into the update, provided in partnership with the 400-member Homeland Security Industries Association (http://www.hsianet.org), remain among those poised to take advantage of these escalating developments, said Vassalotti.

The 33-page report is available in its entirety, along with the Sector Spotlights at http://www.investrendresearch.com.

The analyst also noted the growing internationalization of "Homeland Security," noting these developments are major drivers for the sector. The total U.S. adjusted budget for FY2006 is 6.63% higher than the 2005 budget, with discretionary spending, available to buy products and services from industry suppliers, at $34 billion, up 6.75% and amassing 83% of total funds.

In the public sector, major players in the Homeland Security market include federal agencies, state governments, and first responder organizations such as local municipalities. In the private sector, major players can be divided into incumbent security firms, large firms with a security presence, and smaller, entry-level players with niche products or burgeoning technologies.

The 'New Age' we are living in has many dangers that did not exist a few generations ago. Adversity is the mother of invention, as they say, and the adverse conditions brought on by terrorists and other agents has brought forth an industry determined to counteract their intentions Investments in these nascent companies does carry risks, but the successful ones should also carry handsome rewards.
