Not sure- but the fact that he specifically says you can use control the light with your already wired
on and off switch is unbelievable. You can lose power and turn the lights on and off in your bathroom.
Assuming it could hold power for even one or two hours-- you could use your bathroom lights five minutes at a time for two days! That's what is amazing. Disruptive technology.
