TOTALLY wrong. (It would have been correct if you said "some" instead of "any")

Some viruses will never be eliminated because they are endemic in vectors in the wild (bats, wild ducks, etc etc) and we could not possibly ever treat all of them.

BUt those viruses that exist only in man can be (and have been in the case of SMallpox and are being in the case of polio) eliminated.

THe critical distinction is whether they are present only in man or also endemic in wildlife.
