Actually as a guy with a degree in electronics if I were to bet on what could be a power failure product that could use the experience of engineers who have created more efficient use of AC power in motors I would lean toward it being a more efficient generator. The process of generating electricity is effectively just the opposite of using it (not exactly, but close enough).

I do wonder if they have a synergistic relationship as well, looking at the possibility of expanding a new division in the company to include a power controls division. Then they could be working on a new model VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) that integrates the AC Kinetics algorithms. In that case using the production capacity that Capstone already has built and integrating in the engineering capabilities of AC Kinetics. In that case they could be in direct competition with the likes of Rockwell Automation and Fujitsu.

I still see good things in the near future either way.
