Because we really don't have a democracy, more like a corporatocracy. Why would I ever trust the gov't as it is now composed to respect Constitutional rights when they don't anywhere else, wars w/o declaring them, lying us in to war where multitudes are killed and maimed, spying beyond legislative authorization, banks stealing away the middle class money w/no prosecuton from Dept of Justice, shipping jobs overseas and decimating the middle class ----- oh yeah, I trust this group?

Not me, no thanks, they cannot, I repeat again, cannot be trusted with regulation.

If we had a legitimate democracy I'd consider regulation but since we do not, forget it.
