I thought this board may like to know the following information. Realizing the terms on this board and obviously no company will tell an investor anything that could be "insider" I submit to you results from a conversation today with the President and CEO, Henry Fong. I spoke to him by phone this afternoon regarding particular wording I didn't understand in the January 22 PR. ( I called the 561 number on the form today) A woman answered the phone and when I explained my question she asked for my name and said that I would need to speak to him. He was very cordial and happy to answer all the questions I had obviously without divulging anything that should be saved for a PR.
He explained to me that they are currently working on what he called ancillary MMJ opportunities. Again, not understanding I asked him what he meant by ancillary. He went on to explain various areas that are tied to but not directly growing or distributing MMJ. When asked for examples he mentioned new MMJ opportunities that have risen as a result of the many new developments in the growth of the MMJ industry, such as software development, Bitcoin, hydroponics, security, transportation and several other MMJ related enterprises. It sounded very promising and visionary and got me very excited about where this could go.
He also spoke of financing that's needed due to the cash only nature of MMJ. This is where he spoke more on FFFC's place where they're positioning to capitalize. He had much to say about the fact that banks and credit cards are seeing "$2billion bypass them and they obviously want a piece of the pie." (That's how he put it). He mentioned things about security opportunities, private couriers, and even an armored truck company that's launched directly serving the needs of the MMJ sector. I'm sorry to say that I was taking notes as fast as I could and basically trying to understand FFFC involvement, which it seems is promising.
When asked about FFFC's presence in any of the MMJ Business Conventions, he mentioned one last weekend (I think he said in Florida, or maybe I assumed that...sorry, but maybe you can look it up). Then he mentioned something about the formation of MMJ Mutual Funds with various companies as a definite potential. Said we would hear more about this. He said they were very excited by some "recent developments" with FFFC and to "expect a PR." Again, I'm sorry for the disjointed tone of this post, but I'm just reading off my notes. He talked about "Colorado's expects sales tax to pay for schools" but things in Washington will need to change first. He then talked about the 20 states they're working with currently.
BTW, I had to look up ancillary, hydroponics, Bitcoin, MMJ Mutual funds, Angel funding, and something called Privateer after our call. Having said all this, I'm sorry that I'm not as business savvy as some here and just wanted to communicate my conversation. GLTA
