HR and p values were not given. However, since I did not want Dew give me hard time about using median values, I calculated them using the KM graph (since there were only 14 patients and I could pretty much figure all time of death data).
Based on my readouts from the KM graph, I calculated that this trial reached statistical significance. (HR=0.16; [CI=0.03,0.86]; p=0.03) even with 14 patients.
I am not sure a) why the HR & p values would not included in a paper and b) why would any co hide (no PR, no tweet) a trial that reaches statistical significance even though there were only 14 patients. Any ideas?
Special note to Dew. Can you give hard time to these researchers (and OGXI) about using medians instead of HR as well :)
PS. Since I read the data from KM, HR and p values are approximate.
