You and Blade should arm wrestle for the title of least knowledgable biotech investor of BV.

"JJM760's" quote contains a wonderfully interesting ambiguity. Does it mean that Blade is the least knowledgeable person who is a biotech investor or does it mean that Blade is the least knowledgeable person of biotech investing. This may sound like the difference without a difference, but it's not. My knowledge of science, math and medicine will never change very much at my age. In that sense, yes, I'm the least knowledgeable on the BV board. However, I just received my end of 2013 statement from Fidelity and my last year's performance was 232%. So it seems, if my performance is not by chance--I have to leave the statistical argument here to Clark--that I'm fairly knowledgeable of biotech investing. (Ah, the importance of a preposition in writing and comprehension.) For instance, a person may know nothing about biotech (like me), but, if, say, I follow the advice of "rkrw," I may well be a very good (knowledgeable) biotech investor. The difference is, obviously, absolutely crucial.

I think JJM760, perhaps inadvertently, has raised a most significant question for the BV board to consider: Namely, how does a knowledge of science, medicine and/or biostatistics translate into a knowledge of biotech investing?
