Correct me if I'm wrong. As I recall, Dr. Lowe made a presentation some time ago concerning a major future use of ulta-fine grain aluminium. As I remember, he proposed using this new form of aluminium as a replacement to high voltage copper power lines due to it's higher tensile strength and lighter weight than that of copper wire. However, I don't recall him having compared the conductivity between copper and ultra-fine grain aluminium. I think the presentation was made sometime early last year. Maybe one of you has a better memory than me.
