I love the part about the quartz veins. They describe as "considerable high grade was taken" " it's planned to develop along the ore shoot at a later date".

Bet they didn't think the later date would be 2015.

One particular line about mining in the mid 1800's.

"The old wooden hand pumps, to which the Chinese allegedly were chained and left to pump or drown, were still standing.
