They interviewed some trader. He says “the market will be higher by year end.” Simon Hobbs asks why, he says “because the global economy is recovering and we’ll have global growth”.
Hobbs says “so even now that CB’s in emerging markets are raising rates to defend their currencies we’ll have global growth?”
The trader responds “rate hikes in emerging markets are a good thing, it means the economies are getting better”.

You just can’t make this stuff up.
