Excellent, Truly Excellent Point Litos

Do you even care about the healing benefits such companies like MJNA, NVLX could bring about for humanity, and possibly you or a family member in the future?

I agree that the enthusiasm for MJ stocks is reminiscent of 1999's dotcom explosion but there are some key factors that make this momentum a whole different beast.

The quote above says it all. It's not just about profits here. It's about helping others. It's about being free to make your own choice of medicine. It's about health care. It's about advancing society from antiquated laws and norms.

And that's just one facet of the MJ boom. In 1999, the Internet as it is known today was brand new, CANNABIS IS NOT NEW. There is an enormous, long established market for recreational use of cannabis. A market so big people are willing to die or risk imprisonment to meet that market demand.

I don't recall early web purveyors risking life and freedom to promote their wares. I also don't remember the Internet, computers, or any technology sustaining 80 years of systematic, global propaganda. Money poured into web development from every angle whereas the money for the new cannabis market is just now trickling in after the US AG and POTUS addressed the issue.

The cannabis/hemp market has long been suppressed and that has lead to a pressure cooker. Think if this staggering fact;
California's largest cash crop is MARIJUANA and it is illegal.
http://norml.org/legal/item/california-top-10-cash-crops
It has been the largest crop for 30 years long before the medical movement took root in 1996.

Another difference between the dotcom boom and cannabis boom are the "access" and "adoption" issues. Folks in back woods CA or CO may not have access to the Internet or computers but they sure as hell have access to cannabis. There are no age gaps or learning curves with cannabis.

So why pick on MJNA? Why try to strangle the life out of MJNA in its infancy?
There are so many other companies that deserve much more scrutiny. Unless you are financially involved in MJNA I don't have a clue why some people spend so much time squawking about the company. Go analyze @MZN or FarceBook if you want to look at hype. FuzzBook trades at over 100x earnings and @MZN trades over 1000x

edit
I also retired from finance at 22 because of the money I made of the dotcom boom so while some kvetched others cashed in
