You should certainly not take investopedia's information as undeniable fact. The website is similar to wikipedia, in that it is openly edited by the public, and often contains factually incorrect information. In fact, Investopedia is the reason why so many people have the mistaken belief that it is illegal to short-sell penny stocks. IT is, in fact NOT illegal to do so. Many brokers WONT, because of the risk, and the ones that do tend to have certain stringent requirements, but is IS legal. Investopedia mistakenly said that it was illegal, and they had it on their site for a LONG time, and many novice investors read it and now believe that to be the truth when it is not.Investopedia is not perfect, and using that as your only source of information is less than ideal. FYI.
