Common sense dictates that this "Korean Raid" of Intel are nothing short of Korea's version of the Patriot act. Just what did the Koreans hope to find? A memo from Bob to Jack plotting how Intel will destroy AMD? IF this memo existed, it certainly would not be held at a branch office. IF the Koreans want copies of the contracts, all they have to do is ask. Testimony is hard to be obtained as a result of a raid. IF all they want to do is make a show, perhaps at the "insistence" (read Bribe) of a competitor, then yes a Raid would be a good thing. But well run corporations do not keep anything regarding any corporate policy at a branch office. That is why AMD's glee at the raid seems somewhat curious. Does Olmelveny keep an office in Korea? Oh, and is it South or North Korea?
