The only way we can buy a US dish is by proving we have a US address for installation and billing purposes.
My experience was when I bought a dish at Circuit City in Burlington Vermont, they asked for ID and where it would be installed.
I'm Canadian but I have a Summer cottage in Vt so with that address they delivered and installed there.
From there you can bring the dish back to Canada but it is illegal, and from there you can adjust the direction to US satellite.
Too much hassle for me so it stays in the states.
Up here I have Bell ExpressVu and Videotron.
